<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
i wanted to share this cute little game i made for our son's thanksgiving party last year. the kids loved it and i actually left it for the older kids to play it after their teacher saw it. my inspiration drew from a similar game that we played at his valentines party in preschool called cupids arrow. in place of the circle it was a heart. so really make this however you would like to fit your event. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7AK_rji0JJ4/WA4YiGRhEII/AAAAAAAACKw/0_yX2cJUxZ4MyFdX_tAinpai-zu-ff2FQCLcB/s1600/IMG_8041.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7AK_rji0JJ4/WA4YiGRhEII/AAAAAAAACKw/0_yX2cJUxZ4MyFdX_tAinpai-zu-ff2FQCLcB/s320/IMG_8041.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
my son and husband have quite the sweet tooth...so i found a healthy alternative for them. these protein bars mimic no bake cookies and are much healthier. i have altered the recipe to make it how they like it so i will post both recipes. the original recipe came from my <a href="http://www.arbonne.com/pws/clarissahann/tabs/home.aspx" target="_blank">arbonne girl</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
ours is a little more peanut buttery which makes them more of a creamy fudge consistency. and the original recipe is more firm and more like a no bake consistency.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
i have also done this with and without the oats...sometimes my little prefers no oats. by omitting the oats they do not set up as firmly so you can play with it and add less honey or peanut butter. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>ingredients</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 1/2 cups of peanut butter </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3/4 cup of honey</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 1/4 cups chocolate protein powder (<a href="http://www.arbonne.com/pws/clarissahann/tabs/home.aspx" target="_blank">i love arbonnes pea protein</a>)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 cups of oatmeal</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
mix all ingredients together. i use a spatula to fold them all together. the mixture will be thick. once mixed i pour into a square container with a lid and press the mixture out to the edges. then refrigerate. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>original recipe with same method</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 cups peanut butter </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 1/4 cups of honey</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 1/4 cups protein powder</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3 cups of oatmeal</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
enjoy!!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
salads are one of my favorite things to eat...i never get sick of eating vegetables like i do chicken so i am always trying new ideas for not so average salads.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
i was having some friends over for an essential oils class and although i had a few not so healthy options (beer bread and dip, chocolate pound cake) i wanted something light and healthy too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
most of the ingredients i did have on hand and this was super easy to throw together!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
ingredients:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/2 of a medium red onion</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 lb. roma tomatoes</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 english cucumbers or 6 mini cucumbers</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 firm avocados </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
large handful of of cilantro chopped</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2-4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 lemons - juice from 1 whole lemon (2-3 tbsp) plus a little extra for avocados </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1-2 teaspoons of course ground sea salt</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2-3 turns of freshly ground pepper from a pepper mill</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-su_K3Q8frS4/VznefOSikOI/AAAAAAAACKI/-3gr2lIu_cA6evbjkb-7VsIWa2eqdF1ZgCLcB/s1600/IMG_3572.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-su_K3Q8frS4/VznefOSikOI/AAAAAAAACKI/-3gr2lIu_cA6evbjkb-7VsIWa2eqdF1ZgCLcB/s400/IMG_3572.JPG" width="300" /></a><br /><br />method:<br />1. chop all ingredients and place the onion, tomatoes, cucumber and cilantro in a large salad bowl. as soon as i chop my avocados i toss them in lemon juice to help stop the browning effect. i also make sure that the avocados are more firm than i would usually purchase for other recipes. this also helps with slower browning and gives the salad a nice texture.<br />
<br /><br />
2. drizzle the salad with olive oil and lemon juice then gently combine. just before serving add the salt and pepper. doing this just before serving is best otherwise the salt will draw out a lot of juice form the vegetables and could make the salad a little mushy. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
feel free to add more lemon juice to taste or even a freshly pressed garlic clove to your olive oil. looking for a little more protein...grilled shrimp would be amazing in this salad! </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
also, fresh dill could be substituted for the cilantro</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
enjoy!!</div>

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9yAn2IuQZOw/VnK_pLOwUhI/AAAAAAAACJs/nLvXQrdo4b8/s1600/IMG_1131.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9yAn2IuQZOw/VnK_pLOwUhI/AAAAAAAACJs/nLvXQrdo4b8/s400/IMG_1131.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
my husband asks me to make home made chex mix every year around the holiday season. it's one of our favorite and festive snack foods. once you make it yourself the store-bought bags just do not cut it. i use the chex mix recipe on the back of their box as my base but as you all know i always make recipes my own based on the flavors we enjoy…so a little more worcestershire sauce, more garlic powder and of course more butter. kids love to help with this and its so easy to get them involved. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><i>ingredients</i></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4 cups of corn chex</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4 cups of wheat chex</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4 cups of rice chex</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 cups of mixed nuts</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 cups of pretzels </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 cups of garlic flavored bagel chips broken up</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 cups of regular flavor cheerios (sometimes i add these too they are optional)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
16 tablespoons of butter (2 sticks)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce (maybe more)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 1/2 teaspoons of season salt (my favorite is tastefully simple)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 teaspoon of garlic powder</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3/4 teaspoon of onion powder </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<i><b>method</b></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. in a very large bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips. in a secondary small microwaveable bowl melt butter for about one minute or until melted. Stir in all seasonings well. Pour over dry mixture and ensure an even coating. i use my hands to fold and toss the cereal. it will seem wet and maybe even some slightly soggy pieces but don't worry it dries out in the oven roasting process. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. you can microwave on high for 5-6 minutes in a microwave safe bowl stirring about every 2 minutes but i choose to roast ours in the oven. place the mix into 2 or 3 roasting pans or i also use shallow bar pans to make sure it all gets roasted. sprinkle each pan of mix with a little garlic powder on top. set oven temperature to 200-250 degrees bake for one hour stirring very 15 minutes. then lay out the chex mix on paper towels to cool before placing in an air tight container. </div>

she has a sparkly personality, such a sweet spirit and we clicked pretty quickly the evening we met…simply stated this girl is beautiful inside and out.<br />
i wanted to introduce you to jen. we met a few years back at a thirty-one party where i was the consultant and she was a guest of the hostess. it was one of the most fun parties i had ever done. i met some amazing women that night and jen was definitely one off them. over the years i have had the opportunity to meet her family and friends…she has 2 absolutely adorable children and a loving supportive husband. i was so excited to hear that she was starting her own photography business. i love supporting small businesses and especially businesses started by moms like me. : )<br />

<a href="http://www.jenexpo.com/" target="_blank">jen expo photography</a> was launched 2 years ago after her passion and success with photography started coming together. jen's love for photography actually started as a child when she received her first film camera (remember those…i do), and over the years she has studied and worked hard at learning all about photography. while she was learning, she began shooting for family and friends...this is what started building her "brand". of course there were ups and downs though out her journey thats the part that makes us who we are but launching her own business was one of the best things she has ever done. she now offers on location photography in multiple counties as well as a personal studio in her home. i love seeing people make their dreams come true...</div>

jen offers fair prices to stay competitive in today's market and her customer service is beyond what you would expect. with no additional fees she will become your own personal consultant. she will sit down with you and help you plan out ways to decorate your home with your new photos. if you have questions about prints, canvases or even gift ideas she is able to give you her expert advice all included within your session pricing. although life has been so crazy i haven't had the time to order our photos yet, but i love the online ordering option she offers to her clients. you can view and order your photos directly from her website as prints or canvas and the prices are are extremely competitive. these photos are printed on photo quality paper using photo quality ink. </div>

so do not look at the apples and think this is healthy…it is not. but i can say it sure is yummy! this is a great time of year to whip this up for a party or family gathering it is always a hit and i have never had leftovers. this recipe is so easy and most of the time we have all of the ingredients on hand to whip it up for last minute guests.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><i>ingredients </i></b></div>
1-8 ounce package of cream cheese softened<br />
1/4 cup sugar<br />
1/2 cup brown sugar<br />
1 teaspoon of vanilla<br />
1 package of mini heath bars frozen then finely chopped<br />
3-4 tart apples or i use my favorite honey crisp<br />
<br />
1. mix the softened cream cheese, sugars and vanilla in a bowl until well blended. sugars may give the cream cheese a slightly gritty texture until it sits for a bit and dissolves completely. place the mixture in a round serving bowl or plate. i used the <a href="https://www.pamperedchef.com/pws/mychefdawn/shop/Cook%27s+Tools/Mixing+%26+Measuring/4-qt_+Collapsible+Serving+Bowl/2799" target="_blank">pampered chef collapsable bowl</a> for this party and it actually worked perfect.<br />
<br />
2. sprinkle the chopped heath bar chips on top. then wash and slice the apples.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
enjoy!!<br />

1. pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. in a mixing bowl whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. in a secondary bowl mix together butter, sugar, lemon zest with an electric mixer until fluffy and pale yellow. add eggs and mix well. then add lemon juice and extracts until combined.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3. set mixer on low speed and add dry ingredients to the butter mixture until well combined. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4. use a 2 oz scoop to ball the cookie dough and drop in the bowl of powdered sugar. cover generously with powdered sugar. using a round medium sized cookie cutter press the dough ball with the palm of your hand to flatten and form the dough within the cookie cutter on your baking sheet. remove the cookie cutter dip in powdered sugar to prevent sticking and repeat steps until dough is gone. i learned this trick from my mom and love the perfect shape i get.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
5. bake 10-13 minutes until tops are indented slightly </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

enjoy!!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
what really caught my eye about this polish were the colors! the colors are bold and there are such a wide variety to choose from, i was instantly drawn to the display (marketing victim…i know). just a little history on my nails. i wore acrylic nails for over 10 years…most of those 10 years i always got pink and white acrylic so my nails were a french manicure all of the time. after having our son i wanted to take a break from them…i was mainly afraid of scratching our newborn but i had also gotten to the point where going to my appointments were more of a chore than a joy. when our son was almost 2 i started getting the itch again for acrylic nails…mainly because polish does not stay on more than an hour. after much consideration i started getting the acrylics again. well i couldn't get the acrylics to stay on either…they were constantly lifting and it was more of a hassle than it was worth. a friend told me about the at home gel manicure kits…so i went and purchased one from ulta it was $120.00. i was so excited to try it and then... it sat in my closet for at least 4 months unopened…i do not think i was as excited about it after the ulta representative told me to make sure i had time carved out because you have to follow all of the steps as directed and that takes time…a lot of time...thankfully ulta let me return the product for a full refund. i tried acrylics one last time this year and then finally decided i was done…they weren't staying on and again not worth the time and frustration.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
that is when i came across this product… <a href="http://www.sallyhansen.com/nails/nail-color/gel-nail-color/miracle-gel%E2%84%A2" target="_blank">sally hansen miracle gel</a>. at first i wasn't too sure about it. i tried it the first time the manicure worked great, lasted over 10 days. then i purchased a pink color and that manicure lasted 2 days (i am realizing now that was likely more of user error). i thought i was back to the drawing board in search of the "perfect" polish until i decided to give miracle gel one more try. i had the idea to not only use acetone to remove any oils but i also used a file and roughed up my nail a little. worked like a charm. polish lasted 2 weeks that time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
after recommending this polish to quite a few friends that had never even heard of it i thought my readers may like the skinny on this. my friends loved it and i hope you will as well. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
my best advice…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
remove all oils from you nails with acetone or alcohol then lightly roughen your nail with a nail file or the course side of a buffer block.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
although the brush is pretty bulky try to put 2 thin layers of polish on your nail. I actually allow the first coat to almost dry completely before applying the second coat and then allow that to dry before applying the final gel top coat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
this product is totally worth the $15.00 ish investment to give it a try. target seems to be the cheapest as far as the stores i shop at. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
if you decide to use this product or you have used it let me know your comments. </div>

<br />
if you have followed me for any length of time you know i am not a big fan of sweets. when i do get a "sweet tooth" its usually for something not too sweet…like a shortbread cookie. this recipe is a simple 4 ingredient cookie recipe and oh so tasty. you can enjoy these just as they are or drizzle them with pretty much any flavor of icing (lemon maybe)…or how about dipping half of the cookie in chocolate. we actually drizzled these with a home made fresh strawberry icing. a little more work to make the icing but it was worth it. i will post the strawberry icing recipe and when i do i will link it up to this post as well.<br />
<br />
<br />
<b><i><u>ingredients</u></i></b><br />
2 cups butter<br />
1 cup of white sugar<br />
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract<br />
4 cups of all-purpose flower<br />
<br />
<br />
<b><u>method</u></b><br />
1. pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F<br />
<br />
2. cream butter and sugar until fluffy and stir in vanilla. slowly add in flour mixing well.<br />
<br />
3. roll out the cookies or use a cookie press. we rolled these out and used a mini cookie cutter and made them into these cute frilly shapes. we baked these for 10 minutes or until a very light golden brown. baking times will vary depending on the size of cookie and oven. so if you prefer to do a larger cookie just do a test round and bake one or two to see how they turn out.<br />
<br />

i wanted some extra storage space for either my office or kitchen and decided to refinish it for the kitchen since the kitchen needed it more. my first thought was to paint it solid matte black and switch the hardware to a brushed aluminum handle…then i had a thought. our kitchen has a vintage wine "theme" so what better way to compliment the style than to distress the cabinet a little so it looks more rustic. and this was so easy!<br />
i sanded the white cabinet first making sure any scratches or dings were smoothed. i wiped it down with water/lysol mixture, then applied 2 coats of matte black latex paint. Once the paint dried for 24 hours i started to strategically sand different areas and voila…all finished. i think i have created a monster though…i already have 2 other "projects" i am planning to do this too.<br />

<br />
<br />
so after seeing a shoedazzle commercial over a year ago and signing up to receive emails only (i chickened out on the membership), then receiving emails for a year or so…these finally snagged me! the <a href="http://www.shoedazzle.com/products/SONJA-WE1511141-1010" target="_blank">sonja chunky wedge</a> (in pink of course) sealed the deal. i signed up for the monthly vip membership<br />
which entitles you to much lower pricing. the only "obligation" is you have to access your membership before the 5th of each month and purchase or pass on the shoe they have listed. you can cancel at any time.<br />
<br />
but take a look... these came yesterday and i was ecstatic. i had been looking for a cute shoe to replace a favorite pair of my aldo pink patent pumps. these come in white and yellow as well and fit pretty true to size. i wear a 6 1/2 or a 7 so i ordered the 7 and they seem slightly big but i think the 6 1/2 would have been slightly too small which small is worse. : )<br />

<br />
i was searching for a light summery salad with strawberries as the main ingredient for our women's event on friday and came across this one. the fresh basil and crunchy cucumbers had me sold on this right away! we received a lot of compliments on this salad and its super easy with most of the ingredients readily available in your kitchen. we did add some romaine lettuce to make it more of a salad and you could also lay the salad overtop lettuce.<br />
<br />
4 cups (1 pound) hulled strawberries cut into quarters<br />
2 tablespoons of fresh basil thinly sliced (i actually use kitchen shears to cut the thin strips)<br />
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar<br />
1 teaspoon of sugar<br />
2 medium cucumbers just over 2 cups sliced<br />
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice<br />
1/4 teaspoon of salt<br />
1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper<br />
<span style="color: #353a3b; font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; letter-spacing: 0px; line-height: 22px;"><br /></span>

<span style="color: #353a3b; font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; letter-spacing: 0px; line-height: 22px;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #353a3b; font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; letter-spacing: 0px; line-height: 22px;">1. peel and seed cucumbers; halve lengthwise, and slice thin.</span><br />

<li style="box-sizing: border-box; letter-spacing: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.11111111em;"><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">combine strawberries, basil, vinegar, and sugar. toss to coat and chill for 1 hour.</span></li>
<li style="box-sizing: border-box; letter-spacing: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.11111111em;"><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">2. combine cucumbers and lemon juice; toss to coat.</span></li>
<li style="box-sizing: border-box; letter-spacing: 0px; margin-bottom: 1.11111111em;"><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">3. after chilling, add cucumber mixture, salt, and pepper to strawberry mixture. gently toss to combine, and serve immediately.</span></li>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
i am so excited i found this mascara. i tend not to wear it that often because i had not found one that i really liked. over the years i have tried quite a few…drugstore brands, clinique, mac, sephora, marykay (i could list more) and there were things that i liked and didn't like about each of them. either it was clumpy or not thick enough. some would thicken but not lengthen my lashes or vise vera…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
i first heard about younique last year. i am generally an early adaptor but really the idea of not being able to try it combined with the price is what kept me walking past a distributors booth. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
then a friend had a lash-bash online party and i saw her post her results photo after trying the mascara from a friend. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
so between that photo, her excitement and my desire to help my friend earn free products i took the plunge and purchased the <a href="https://www.youniqueproducts.com/MegSirlLouis/products/view/US-1017-00#.VNjEqN77r8s" target="_blank">3d fiber lash mascara</a> and the <a href="https://www.youniqueproducts.com/MegSirlLouis/products/view/US-21801-00" target="_blank">lucrative lip gloss </a>in loveable and i really love them both.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
the mascara gave my lashes length and volume without the any clumping…perfection!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
the lipgloss is very moisturizing and the color so fun!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
i was so excited about the products i would like to do a giveaway for the second lipgloss i just ordered in the shade lucky. customer will pay shipping outside of the United States. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.giadadelaurentiis.com/" target="_blank">giada de laurentiis</a> is my absolute favorite on the cooking network and she is also an inspiration. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
she is beautiful, fun, i love her bubbly personality and well then there is her amazing kitchen skills!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
the other day my husband and i were watching an episode of her show and my husband started talking about these little pizzas she made… "how hard would those be to make babe?" i knew what he was aiming for : ) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
"not hard at all…are you wanting some giada pizzettes?"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and off to the store i went. i would actually have had all but the (non home made) dough and cremini mushrooms but our cupboards were pretty bare and it was time for a grocery trip.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
these were amazing!! i followed the recipe exactly and will definitely be making it again but likely with home made or frozen bread. these would work just the same as a large regular sized pizza. And also putting all of these ingredients in a rolled out crust then rolling it into a pizza roll would work as well. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
i paired this with a baby spinach kale and chard salad toped with walnuts carrot ribbons and gorgonzola with a balsamic and olive oil dressing. we had them for dinner but these would make an awesome game day snack just in time for the super bowl this weekend!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MzFR1t2f9Rk/VMbbAPTYmkI/AAAAAAAAB9o/-OsGBe8O69s/s1600/photo%2B2-22.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MzFR1t2f9Rk/VMbbAPTYmkI/AAAAAAAAB9o/-OsGBe8O69s/s1600/photo%2B2-22.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
ingredients:</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
8 ounces or cremini mushrooms sliced</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 ball store bought pizza dough (12 to 16 ounces)</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 small bunch of tuscan kale (about 4 leaves), ribs removed and cut into ribbons</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 ounces of gorgonzola, crumbled </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. place an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 475 degrees fahrenheit. Toss the mushrooms with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and sea salt then roast on a baking sheet or foil until they are golden brown about 6 yo 8 minutes. then set aside. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. roll out pizza dough to 1/4 inch thickness. use a 2-inch round cookie cutter to cut out circles in the dough and transfer the circles to a parchment- lined baking sheet or stone…i used a stone from pampered chef. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3. drizzle the dough circles lightly with olive oil. place a teaspoon of mozzarella on each circle, then top with the mushrooms and then the kale ribbons, i used kitchen shears to cut the kale into ribbons. finally top each circle with gorgonzola crumbles. drizzle with a little more olive oil and bake until they are golden and bubbly about 10 minutes. arrange on a platter and serve </div>
<br />
<br />
enjoy!<br />

<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
i was inspired to make this yummy chili after waking up to a snow (too cold) day, a desire to make a warm and healthy comfort food and the fact i have multiple cans of various beans in my cupboard. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
chili is basically a dish you can make into what ever creation you would like. i do not make it too often because i am the only one that eats it. i hope you'll enjoy this recipe. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
i actually had all the ingredients on hand to make this chili…the only thing i was hoping to add to the top was cilantro one of my favorite herbs. but i will be stopping out to get it tomorrow…</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
not today…brrrrrrrr!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
this made so much chili i am going to freeze it in mason jars so i can easily warm it up. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
1.25 pounds of lean ground turkey (i used a free range brand)<br />
1 half of a large yellow onion chopped<br />
5 cloves of peeled and chopped fresh garlic<br />
1 large pablano pepper seeded and chopped<br />
1 small to medium yellow squash sliced then cubed<br />
a handful of cherry tomatoes sliced into 3rd or 4ths<br />
1 can black beans rinsed<br />
1 can kidney beans rinsed<br />
1 can cannellini beans rinsed<br />
2 tablespoons chili powder<br />
1 teaspoon of ground cumin<br />
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes<br />
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon i used vietnamese cinnamon<br />
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper<br />
3 cups of water or vegetable stock<br />
3 teaspoons salt<br />
olive oil<br />
garnish with: avocado, fresh cilantro, cheese or sour cream<br />
<br />
<br />
1. heat olive oil in a large pot or dutch oven until hot. reduce heat to simmer add the onion, pablano, squash and garlic. cook stirring occasionally until the vegetables are softened 6-7 minutes.<br />
<br />
2. increase heat to medium and add the ground turkey. cook the turkey until it is no longer pink and be sure to break it up with a wooden spoon during cooking<br />
<br />
3. add the 3 cans of beans stir, then add the dry spices and stir again. pour in the 3 cups of water. and add the tomatoes. allow to simmer 20-30 minutes so the flavors begin to meld. the longer the better remember the saying that chili is better the day after : )<br />
<br />
just remember make it your own! feel free to add more salt, spices or vegetables and the same goes for decreasing amounts i have mentioned this could easily be made into a vegetarian dish!<br />
<br />
<br />
enjoy!<br />
<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
in the past i was never really a fan of protein shakes. i had never found a protein i could tolerate for more than a day or so let alone making it part of my daily routine after working out. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
then my husband came along and introduced me to <a href="http://www.musclemilk.com/" target="_blank">muscle milk</a>…let me tell you it is tasty and the best protein i had ever had. banana cream was my go to and then the vanilla so i could add berries and other fruit. we actually purchase this from <a href="http://bodybuilding.com/">bodybuilding.com</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the only thing i was not a huge fan of was the artificial sweetener in the muscle milk. so while i would still use it i was on a search for an all natural protein powder. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
then i found all kinds of information on the good and the bad of the protein powder world. and the fact is not all are created equal.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
after trying a couple all natural powders i met an arbonne representative clarissa…insert a smile!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
she introduced me to an amazing line of products and i absolutely love the vanilla protein powder.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
i really enjoy being organized. if i have the proper containers, shelves, cabinets etc. i will organize it all and love every minute of it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
for a little while now i had the idea of storing my shoes in clear containers so i could easily stack them and also see what they were. i had googled a few websites and the plastic shoe containers were way to pricey for my liking so i figured when i came across what i was looking for i would know what.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
surprise…surprise…my mom (the best) remembered our conversation from a while back and she came across these little gems so they showed up for christmas this year and i couldn't be happier.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
these are <a href="http://www.sterilite.com/SelectProduct.html?id=442&ProductCategory=179&section=1" target="_blank">6 quart sterilite clear storage containers. </a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
i wish i would have gotten a before picture with all of the different sized boxes and how not so organized they looked. i must have been too excited because i didn't even think of the before shot till after : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
here is the start of my shoe organization…i actually need more bins to finish my collection and also will get some extra to have for new shoe purchases. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

this extra special mario themed party was for our son ethan. his little heart was set on a tiered cake with mario and princess peach at the top…then a smaller cake set a little ways away from the larger cake with bowser on it. and yes he came up with that on his own…we opted for cake, cupcakes and cookies. </div>

we absolutely loved the cake! <a href="http://www.reevescakeshop.com/" target="_blank">reeves cake shop</a> made the cake then i purchased the characters from <a href="http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_11?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=mario+characters&sprefix=mario+chara%2Caps%2C234" target="_blank">amazon </a>and made the pipe on the top. the pipe was made from a plastic pipe i purchased from the home depot found in the plumbing department. then i picked up some thick green foam paper at the flower factory (or any craft store) and cut the size according to the pipe then added the additional layer of foam to the top of the pipe for added dimension and so it looked like mario. </div>

we hand made the piranha plants and the clouds. the clouds were cut from large sheets of styrofoam then batting was glued on one side. you could definitely do both sides with the fluffy batting if necessary.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
the piranha plants were a little more tricky. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
you will need:</div>

styrofoam balls </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
red acrylic craft paint</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
flower arrangement foam for inside the pot </div>

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 21px;">this recipe is from the hershey’s 1934 cookbook and was given to me by my cousin alisha. it was given to her by my great grandmother edna, whom we called minnie. i was lucky enough to be able to know her and actually spent a lot of time with her so this seemed extra special to me. </span></div>

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 21px;">the recipe is actually a base for any type of candy you would like to add to a cookie. i chose mm’s. as you can see from the pick the store was all out of the festive green and red so i opted for the regular colors. i think i nailed this recipe its pretty yummy. instead of sour milk though I used regular whole milk and i only used about a cup and a half of mm’s.</span></span></div>
