taco pie

This is a fun twist for taco night. My friend used to make this from time to time when I would come over to have dinner...it was one of my favs so I asked for the recipe here it is!

Ingredients:

1 container of crescent rolls
1 packett Taco seasoning
Doritos or Tortilla Chips
1 lb. ground beef
sour cream
shredded cheddar or taco cheese
cilantro (my favorite)
and then all of your favorite taco toppings

1. Pre-heat oven to what the directions on the crescent rolls says. Brown meat in a pan and follow directions on taco seasoning packett and season the meat.

2. Line a deep dish pie plate with the crescent roll and form into the pie plate and edges. Bottom layer will be crushed Doritos or tortilla chips, next layer seasoned ground beef, then followed by sour cream then shredded cheddar cheese. The top layer is crushed Doritos or tortilla chips again.

3. Cover the top with foil so Doritos do not burn and bake for 20-25 minutes. Then serve with your favorite taco toppings.

Variations: You could use chicken or refried beans. You can also just continue the pattern above if you would like more layers and just end up with chips on top.

a heart breakfast for my valentine's

this morning i made a valentine breakfast for my 2 lovies. sooo simple. i used a cookie cutter and lightly oiled the edges to prevent sticking. place the cookie cutter in the pan and pour in the batter and let it set until the bubbles start and it's time to flip. remove the cutter then flip to the other side. you can do this for any holiday with other cutters or any other day to just tell them they are special
